Pueblo in Black and White
Along with my continued participation with my Beyond Layers class, I've decided to add more of what I do unrelated to the class here. My work is now all over the place. I want to get it all into one location. Here's the beginning!
Taos, New Mexico
We traved to Taos on the "High Road to Taos" on the 4th of July 2012. We had never been to a Pueblo and I was intrigued by all the lines, doors and windows. The next day we visited the Georgia O'Keeffe Art Museum and listened to a docent explain her work and her style and how she loved the "U" and "V" shapes in nature. Now, I'm certainly not comparing this image to any of Georgia O'Keeffe's work, but I'm fascinated now by shadow and the lines it creates that I did not notice much before my visit to the museum. I brought back note cards of her work to remind me to look at things in a new way.
