Liberate Your Art ~ 2015
My postcard offering... |
May your dreams ride on the wings of angels...
...and find their way to the skies.
~ Flavia
I have participated in this fabulous project of Kat Sloma's for the third time, but I'm feeling a tinge unconnected this time around. I hurriedly sent my postcards to Kat and even forgot to sign them while preparing to go to California to take care of my mom following her mastectomy...she's 90! (She did really well and is already back to her regular routines.)
I was gone from home as the beautiful postcards began to arrive in my mailbox. My husband, understanding how important receiving each postcard was to me, photographed each one and sent the images to me via text. I was unable to share my joy through the Facebook page, but believe me...I was thrilled to receive the beautiful artwork from across the country and around the world. A big hug and a kiss for my husband.
So, although I feel a bit late to the party, I am grateful to Kat who organizes this event and grateful to those of you...all of you...who inspire me in ways words can't explain.
Without further adieu...here are the postcards I received this year here in Roanoke, Texas:
Upper left is from Pat Owen. I love the artistic way she shares her message. She writes, "The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place: from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider's web." Pablo Picasso
Upper right is from Allison. What a wonderful way to draw a cat...maybe her cat. Such beautiful work. She writes, "Whomever is happy will make others happy too." Anne Frank
Bottom left is from Catie An (Catieanscorner.blogspot.com). She writes, "A flower does not think of competing with the flowers around it...It just blooms." Something I need to remember! The rose bud was captured in her garden after some rain.
Center postcard is from Kat. Her artwork...always wonderful. Thank you!
And last, but not least is a postcard from Helen Hallows. Her message was beautifully written and meaningful...her artwork divine. You can find her at: helenhallows.com.
Texas is greening up...Happy for Spring rains! |
I am sincerely grateful for the postcards I've received.
Thank you ladies and I'll look forward to next year.
If Peace is our vision...let us begin.

ReplyDeleteHello! Hope all is well with you and yours! I'm doing the blog hop, enjoying everyone's treasures, and looking to see where mine landed. I signed them but didn't add e-mail! Don't know what I was thinking--but this was my 1st time, and I admit to being a little nervous about it all! I love seeing everyone 's collections, and some wonderful ways of displaying, too. Your clouds, and just the top of that tree--lovely! Have a great year!
